Genuine BMW part 24 10 7 507 818: Position switch. The number stamped on the part is 24107507818; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7507818. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Mounting / suspension. It supersedes the older numbers 1421506 and 1423378, so a part carrying any of them is the same part.

It fits every E46 body style (320i, 323i, 325i, 328i and 330i, 1999–2006), with the M52, M54 or M56 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 2 diagrams, among them A5s310z Housing with Mounting Parts (24_0716) and A5s325z Housing with Mounting Parts (24_0887). It weighs about 170 g (0.4 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
