This is a genuine BMW profile-gasket, part number 11 12 2 245 599. The number stamped on the part is 11122245599; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 2245599. You will find it on our Engine shelf, under Cylinder head with cover. It supersedes the older number 9068661, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E36 sedan, touring and compact (318tds, 1994–1995), with the M41 engine.
BMW draws it on the Cylinder head cover (11_1445) diagram. It weighs about 56 g (0.1 lb). It also comes in BMW kit Gasket set cylinder head asbestos free (2246704).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
