Genuine BMW part 12 31 7 570 152: Pulley alternator. The number stamped on the part is 12317570152; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7570152. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Alternator with motor and mounting. It supersedes the older number 7550001, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits every E46 body style (316i, 316ti, 318i and 318ti, 2001–2004), with the N40, N42, N45 or N46 engines.

BMW draws it on 5 diagrams, among them Alternator single parts, 90/110A Valeo (12_1170) and Alternator parts 120/140A Valeo (12_1171). It weighs about 350 g (0.8 lb).
