Genuine BMW part 34 52 1 164 652: Pulse generator, ABS rear. The number stamped on the part is 34521164652; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1164652. You will find it on our Brakes shelf, under Electronic components. BMW has since replaced it with 1164370.
It fits every E46 body style (320i, 323i, 325i, 328i, 330i and M3, 1999–2006), with the M52, M54, M56 or S54 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on the Rear Axle Support/Wheel Suspension (33_0840) diagram. BMW's catalog calls for two of these at each place it is fitted. It weighs about 85 g (0.2 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
