This is a genuine BMW radio remote control with display, part number 66 12 6 820 747. The number stamped on the part is 66126820747; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 6820747. You will find it on our Instruments & Electronics shelf, under Radio-controlled locking system. It supersedes the older number 6801534, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 6824653.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
BMW draws it on the Radio remote control (41_2566) diagram. It also comes in BMW kits Set of keys with BDC control unit (2413286) and Set of keys with BDC control unit (2413290) and 1 more.
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
