This is a genuine BMW rear left spring strut, part number 37 12 6 796 933. The number stamped on the part is 37126796933; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 6796933. It supersedes the older number 6794143, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.

BMW draws it on the Spring strut, rear / VDC / ECU (33_1458) diagram. It weighs about 6.1 kg (13 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
