Rear silencer — a genuine BMW part, number 18 12 1 246 246. The number stamped on the part is 18121246246; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1246246. You will find it on our Exhaust shelf, under Other Exhaust system parts. It supersedes the older number 1245980, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 1246584.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
It weighs about 10 kg (22 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
