Genuine BMW part 64 12 1 388 069: Repair kit resistor. The number stamped on the part is 64121388069; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1388069. You will find it on our AC & Climate Control shelf, under Other Heater and Air Conditioning parts. It supersedes the older number 1386265, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits the E36 sedan, coupe, touring and compact (318i, 320i and 325i, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42 or M50 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 27 diagrams, among them Climate Capacitor/Additional Blower (64_0164) and Climate Capacitor/Additional Blower (64_0165). It weighs about 50 g (0.1 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
