Retrofit kit, heat package — a genuine BMW part, number 71 60 7 659 292. The number stamped on the part is 71607659292; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7659292. You will find it on our Tools shelf, under Other Equipment Parts parts. It supersedes the older number 7661891, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
BMW draws it on the Heater package (32_1237) diagram. It weighs about 409 g (0.9 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
