It fits every E36 body style (318i, 318ti, 323i, 325i and 328i, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 engines — and the European-market versions. It also fits the E46 sedan (316i 1.9 and 318i, 1997–2001), with the M43 engine.
BMW draws it on 4 diagrams, among them A4S 270R/310R solenoid valve/cable set (24_0804) and A4S 270R/310R solenoid valve/cable set (24_1302). BMW's catalog calls for two of these at each place it is fitted. It weighs about 2 g (under 0.1 lb).
