Genuine BMW part 23 12 1 224 077: Roller bushing. The number stamped on the part is 23121224077; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1224077. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Bearing in housing, sealing rings. It supersedes the older number 1282566, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits every E36 body style (318i, 318ti, 320i, 323i and 325i, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 engines — and the European-market versions. It also fits the E46 sedan and coupe (316i, 1999–2004), with the M43, N40, N42 or N45 engines.

BMW draws it on 41 diagrams, among them S5D...G countershaft/reverse gear (23_0224) and S5D...G countershaft/reverse gear (23_0226). It weighs about 100 g (0.2 lb).
