Roof moulding left — a genuine BMW part, number 51 13 7 250 399. The number stamped on the part is 51137250399; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7250399. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Other Body equipment parts. It supersedes the older number 7172389, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
BMW draws it on the Roof moulding/Roof rail (51_6799) diagram. It weighs about 400 g (0.9 lb). It also comes in BMW kits Retrofit kit, roof rails, silver (2165691) and Retrofit kit, roof rails, black (2165700).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
