Genuine BMW part 41 14 8 189 982: Section of right rear wheel housing. The number stamped on the part is 41148189982; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 8189982. You will find it on our Exterior Body shelf, under Other Bodywork parts. It supersedes the older number 8236850, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E36 compact (318ti, 1995–1999), with the M42 or M44 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on the Floor Panel Trunk/Wheel Housing Rear (41_0858) diagram. It weighs about 1.1 kg (2.4 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
