Genuine BMW part 24 52 1 423 835: Selector rod. The number stamped on the part is 24521423835; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1423835. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Other Automatic transmission parts. It supersedes the older number 1422335, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits the E36 sedan, coupe and convertible (320i, 323i, 325i and 328i, 1992–1999), with the M50 or M52 engines.

BMW draws it on 3 diagrams, among them A5S300J selector rod/gearbox switch (24_0815) and A5S300J gear shifting part (24_0816). It weighs about 116 g (0.3 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
