This is a genuine BMW self-locking hex nut, part number 07 12 9 900 191. The number stamped on the part is 07129900191; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 9900191. You will find it on our Supplies & Hardware shelf, under Group 12. It supersedes the older numbers 0141328, 0151600, 2322420 and 9964651, so a part carrying any of them is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 9904876.

It fits every E36 body style (318i, 318ti, 320i, 323i, 325i and 328i, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 130 diagrams, among them Trailer, individual parts, towbar (03_3757) and Trailer, individual parts, towbar (03_3759).
