Set, torque converter — a genuine BMW part, number 24 40 7 593 563. The number stamped on the part is 24407593563; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7593563. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Other Automatic transmission parts. It supersedes the older number 7581593, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 7596066.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
It weighs about 12 kg (27 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
