Genuine BMW part 24 13 7 509 504: Shaft seal. The number stamped on the part is 24137509504; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7509504. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Gearbox emergency release. It supersedes the older number 1219141, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits every E36 body style (320i, 323i, 325i, 328i and M3, 1992–1999), with the M50, M52, S50 or S52 engines — and the European-market versions. It also fits every E46 body style (320i, 323i and 325i, 1999–2006), with the M52, M54 or M56 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 5 diagrams, among them A5s310z Output (24_0654) and A5S325Z Output (24_0890). It weighs about 20 g (under 0.1 lb). It also comes in BMW kit Gasket set (1421013).
