Siren lock with wire — a genuine BMW part, number 82 92 9 402 639. The number stamped on the part is 82929402639; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 9402639. You will find it on our Merchandise & Accessories shelf, under Other Universal Accessories parts. It supersedes the older numbers 9402506 and 9402878, so a part carrying any of them is the same part.
It fits the E36 sedan, coupe, convertible and compact (318i, 318ti, 320i, 323i, 325i, 328i and M3, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 and other engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 4 diagrams, among them Alarm system (03_0984) and Alarm system (03_0985). It weighs about 530 g (1.2 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
