This is a genuine BMW solenoid valve 1st+2nd/3th+4th gear, part number 24 33 7 537 063. The number stamped on the part is 24337537063; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7537063. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Other Automatic transmission parts. It supersedes the older number 1218911, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits every E36 body style (318i, 318ti, 323i, 325i and 328i, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 engines — and the European-market versions. It also fits the E46 sedan (316i 1.9 and 318i, 1997–2001), with the M43 engine.
