Genuine BMW part 12 13 9 067 831: Spark plug socket. The number stamped on the part is 12139067831; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 9067831. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Ignition coil. BMW has since replaced it with 1730412.

It fits every E36 body style (320i, 323i, 328i and M3, 1992–1999), with the M52 or S52 engines — and the European-market versions. It also fits every E46 body style (320i, 323i, 325i and 328i, 1999–2006), with the M52 or M54 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 9 diagrams, among them Igtn. coil/sparkplug connector/sparkplug (12_0409) and Ignition coil/spark plug (12_0425). BMW's catalog calls for six of these at each place it is fitted. It weighs about 37 g (under 0.1 lb).
