Genuine BMW part 52 10 8 171 805: Spring set. The number stamped on the part is 52108171805; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 8171805. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Tail trim. It supersedes the older numbers 8153023, 8153024, 8153025, 8153026 and 1 other, so a part carrying any of them is the same part.

It fits every E36 body style (318i, 318ti, 320i, 323i and 325i, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 4 diagrams, among them Front Seat Rail Mechanical/Single Parts (52_0621) and Front Seat Rail (52_0622). It weighs about 101 g (0.2 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
