This is a genuine BMW starter interlock relay, part number 61 35 8 362 102. The number stamped on the part is 61358362102; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 8362102. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Control units, modules. BMW has since replaced it with 8364175.
It fits every E36 body style (318i, 318ti, 320i, 323i, 325i and 328i, 1992–1999), with the M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 engines — and the European-market versions.
