Straight selector rod — a genuine BMW part, number 25 11 1 220 863. The number stamped on the part is 25111220863; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1220863. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Gearshift. It supersedes the older number 1220537, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.

BMW draws it on 13 diagrams, among them Gearshift, mechanical transmission (25_0065) and Gearshift, mechanical transmission (25_0067). It weighs about 184 g (0.4 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
