Stud bolt — a genuine BMW part, number 07 12 9 908 130. The number stamped on the part is 07129908130; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 9908130. You will find it on our Supplies & Hardware shelf, under Group 12. It supersedes the older number 9909070, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits every E36 body style (320i, 323i, 328i and M3, 1992–1999), with the M52 or S52 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 22 diagrams, among them Exhaust manifold (11_0991) and Exhaust manifold (11_0993). BMW's catalog calls for two of these at each place it is fitted. It weighs about 10 g (under 0.1 lb).
