Genuine BMW part 64 11 9 404 386: Supplementary set microfilter. The number stamped on the part is 64119404386; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 9404386. You will find it on our AC & Climate Control shelf, under Other Heater and Air Conditioning parts. It supersedes the older number 1393241, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits every E36 body style (318i, 318ti, 320i, 323i, 325i, 328i and M3, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 and other engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 3 diagrams, among them Microfilter (03_2003) and Microfiltre/Microfiltrecover (64_0181). It weighs about 347 g (0.8 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
