02 View BMW DiagramSee this part on the official exploded view→This is a genuine BMW tank bag, part number 72 60 2 319 240. The number stamped on the part is 72602319240; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 2319240. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Other Parts and accessories, body parts. It supersedes the older number 2304318, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
BMW draws it on 3 diagrams, among them Tank bag (77_0796) and Tank bag (77_0797). It weighs about 1.0 kg (2.3 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
