Genuine BMW part 13 52 2 245 172: Timing chain. The number stamped on the part is 13522245172; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 2245172. You will find it on our Air Intake shelf, under Other Fuel preparation and control parts. It supersedes the older number 2243775, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 2246583.

BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.

It weighs about 418 g (0.9 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
