Genuine BMW part 71 11 1 230 752: Tool bag. The number stamped on the part is 71111230752; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1230752. You will find it on our Tools shelf, under TOOLS. It supersedes the older number 1239182, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
BMW draws it on 4 diagrams, among them Additional tool kit (71_0127) and Additional tool kit (71_0130). It weighs about 106 g (0.2 lb). It also comes in BMW kits Tool kit (1230685) and Tool kit (1240890).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
