-- View BMW DiagramSee this part on the official exploded view→This is a genuine BMW top Case, part number 46 54 2 315 022. The number stamped on the part is 46542315022; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 2315022. You will find it on our Supplies & Hardware shelf, under Luggage system. It supersedes the older number 2303031, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
BMW draws it on 3 diagrams, among them Set of Suitcase Locks (51_0061) and Set of Suitcase Locks (51_8089). It weighs about 3.3 kg (7.2 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
