This is a genuine BMW torx bolt, part number 07 12 9 906 491. The number stamped on the part is 07129906491; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 9906491. You will find it on our Supplies & Hardware shelf, under Group 12. It supersedes the older number 9904153, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits the E46 sedan, coupe, convertible and touring (330d, 2003–2005), with the M57N engine.

BMW draws it on 11 diagrams, among them Engine Suspension (22_0048) and Engine Suspension (22_0060). It weighs about 20 g (under 0.1 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
