The number stamped on the part is 11311736326; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1736326. You will find it on our Engine shelf, under CAMSHAFT. It supersedes the older number 1308910, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits every E36 body style (320i, 323i, 325i, 328i and M3, 1992–1999), with the M50, M52, S50 or S52 engines — and the European-market versions. It also fits the E46 sedan, coupe, convertible and touring (320i, 323i and 325i, 1999–2006), with the M52, M54 or M56 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 16 diagrams, among them Int.Manif.Syst.-Air Accumulator (11_0952) and Timing - Timing Chain Lower P (11_1240). BMW's catalog calls for two of these at each place it is fitted. It weighs about 10 g (under 0.1 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
