Torx bolt — a genuine BMW part, number 24 10 1 423 273. The number stamped on the part is 24101423273; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1423273. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Mounting / suspension. It supersedes the older number 7543483, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits every E46 body style (320i, 323i, 325i, 328i and 330i, 1999–2006), with the M52, M54 or M56 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 4 diagrams, among them A5s440z Oil Pan (24_0721) and A5S325Z oil pan (24_0888). BMW's catalog calls for 22 of these at each place it is fitted. It weighs about 10 g (under 0.1 lb).
