The number stamped on the part is 72111977518; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1977518. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Other Parts and accessories, body parts. It supersedes the older number 0154298, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 9153503.
It fits the E36 sedan, coupe, touring and compact (318i, 318ti, 320i, 323i, 325i and 328i, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 7 diagrams, among them Safety Belt Adjuster (72_0201) and Front Safety Belt Mounting Parts (72_0212). It weighs about 10 g (under 0.1 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
