Torx-bolt with washer — a genuine BMW part, number 51 24 8 119 274. The number stamped on the part is 51248119274; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 8119274. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Other Body equipment parts. It supersedes the older numbers 0149280 and 0309935, so a part carrying any of them is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 6985055.

It fits the E36 compact (318ti, 1995–1999), with the M42 or M44 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 5 diagrams, among them Single Components for Trunk Lid (41_0055) and Trunk Lid/Closing System (41_1617). BMW's catalog calls for four of these at each place it is fitted. It weighs about 10 g (under 0.1 lb).
