Genuine BMW part 24 35 1 423 964: Torx screw. The number stamped on the part is 24351423964; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1423964. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Other Automatic transmission parts. It supersedes the older number 1423597, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits every E46 body style (320i, 323i, 325i, 328i and 330i, 1999–2006), with the M52 or M54 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 3 diagrams, among them A5S360R/390R ctrl unit with mount.parts (24_0938) and A4S200R control unit with mounting parts (24_0978). BMW's catalog calls for eight of these at each place it is fitted. It weighs about 11 g (under 0.1 lb).
