This is a genuine BMW touring bicycle holder, part number 82 71 2 166 924. The number stamped on the part is 82712166924; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 2166924. You will find it on our Merchandise & Accessories shelf, under Other Universal Accessories parts. It supersedes the older number 0137716, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

It fits every E36 body style (318i, 318ti, 320i, 323i and 325i, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 engines — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 21 diagrams, among them Roof rack systems (03_3126) and Touring bicycle holder (03_3206). It weighs about 4.1 kg (9.0 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
