The number stamped on the part is 61356955253; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 6955253. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Control units, modules. It supersedes the older numbers 0396709 and 6908767, so a part carrying any of them is the same part.
It fits every E46 body style (320i, 323i, 325i and 328i, 1999–2006), with the M52 or M54 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 8 diagrams, among them Body Control Units and Modules (61_0121) and Body Control Units and Modules (61_1357). It weighs about 70 g (0.2 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
