Turbine shaft o-ring — a genuine BMW part, number 24 12 1 422 247. The number stamped on the part is 24121422247; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1422247. You will find it on our Transmission shelf, under Gearshift.

It fits every E36 body style (318i, 318ti, 323i, 325i and 328i, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 engines — and the European-market versions. It also fits every E46 body style (316i, 316i 1.9, 316ti, 318d and 318i, 1997–2004), with the M43, M47N, N42 or N46 engines.

BMW draws it on 7 diagrams, among them A4S 270R/310R mounting parts/gaskets (24_0798) and A4S200R sealing, input shaft/speed sensor (24_0973).
