This is a genuine BMW washer, part number 07 14 7 117 990. The number stamped on the part is 07147117990; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7117990. You will find it on our Supplies & Hardware shelf, under Group 14. It supersedes the older number 8249200, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
BMW draws it on 10 diagrams, among them Side panel, front (41_1918) and Side panel, front (41_2078). It also comes in BMW kits Retrofit parasols (2289541) and Retrofit parasols (2289542).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
