Wooden strip, instrument panel ext. right — a genuine BMW part, number 51 45 0 005 908. The number stamped on the part is 51450005908; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 0005908. You will find it on our Interior Body shelf, under Covering, inner. It supersedes the older number 2424386, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
BMW draws it on the Individual wood, decorative strips, parts (91_0149) diagram. It weighs about 64 g (0.1 lb). It also comes in BMW kits Set of wooden covers (0009169) and Set of wooden covers (0009197).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
