Genuine BMW part 12 14 7 500 255: Basic control unit DME. The number stamped on the part is 12147500255; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7500255. You will find it on our Electrical shelf, under Other Engine Electrical System parts. It supersedes the older number 1430845, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 7500256.

It fits the E46 sedan, coupe, convertible and touring (320i, 323i and 328i, 1999–2005), with the M52 engine — and the European-market versions.

BMW draws it on 3 diagrams, among them Basic control unit DME (12_0885) and Basic control unit DME (12_0896). It weighs about 340 g (0.7 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
