This is a genuine BMW clamping bush, part number 18 30 7 525 639. The number stamped on the part is 18307525639; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7525639. You will find it on our Exhaust shelf, under Suspension parts exhaust. It supersedes the older number 1742073, so a part carrying that number is the same part. BMW has since replaced it with 7560778.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
BMW draws it on 13 diagrams, among them John Cooper Works Tuningkit (03_0026) and BMW Performance silencer system (03_0053). It weighs about 430 g (0.9 lb). It also comes in BMW kits Tuningkit (2151478) and Tuningkit (2152456).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
