This is a genuine BMW clamping bush, part number 18 30 7 536 424. The number stamped on the part is 18307536424; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 7536424. You will find it on our Exhaust shelf, under Suspension parts exhaust. It supersedes the older number 7535420, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
BMW draws it on 7 diagrams, among them BMW Performance silencer system (03_0055) and Catalytic converter/front silencer (18_0698). It weighs about 410 g (0.9 lb). It also comes in BMW kit Set of add-on parts, silencer (0143441).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
