Genuine BMW part 64 53 8 390 469: Drying container. The number stamped on the part is 64538390469; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 8390469. You will find it on our AC & Climate Control shelf, under Other Heater and Air Conditioning parts. It supersedes the older number 1390620, so a part carrying that number is the same part.

BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.

BMW draws it on 2 diagrams, among them Drying Container/Small Parts (64_0131) and Drying Container/Small Parts (64_1801). It weighs about 1.0 kg (2.3 lb).

We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
