12 View BMW DiagramSee this part on the official exploded view→Fan belt — a genuine BMW part, number 11 23 1 266 124. The number stamped on the part is 11231266124; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1266124. You will find it on our Engine shelf, under Other Engine parts. It supersedes the older number 1266125, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
BMW draws it on 5 diagrams, among them Belt Drive-Vibration Damper (11_0275) and Belt Drive-Vibration Damper (11_0277). It weighs about 1.0 kg (2.2 lb).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
