This is a genuine BMW frame, part number 65 12 1 375 737. The number stamped on the part is 65121375737; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 1375737. You will find it on our Instruments & Electronics shelf, under Radio, amplifier, CD player. It supersedes the older number 8386127, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits every E36 body style (318i, 318ti, 320i, 323i and 325i, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 35 diagrams, among them Single Components Stereo System (65_0200) and Single Components HIFI System (65_0201). It weighs about 85 g (0.2 lb). It also comes in BMW kits Sound system 1 (9061920) and Radio BMW Reverse RDS (9405379).
