The number stamped on the part is 07129904553; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 9904553. You will find it on our Supplies & Hardware shelf, under Group 12. It supersedes the older numbers 9900681 and 9904858, so a part carrying any of them is the same part.
It fits every E36 body style (318i, 318ti, 320i, 323i and 325i, 1992–1999), with the M40, M42, M43, M44, M50 or M52 engines — and the European-market versions.
BMW draws it on 368 diagrams, among them Oil Pan/Oil Level Indicator (11_1117) and Cooling System Water Hoses (11_1122). It also comes in BMW kits Set of mounting parts for water hoses (0152384) and Installation Kit Alarm System (0444090) and 9 more.
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
