The number stamped on the part is 66129266843; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 9266843. You will find it on our Instruments & Electronics shelf, under Radio-controlled locking system. It supersedes the older numbers 2296752 and 9263331, so a part carrying any of them is the same part.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
BMW draws it on 6 diagrams, among them Key (41_2022) and Key (41_2131). It weighs about 30 g (under 0.1 lb). It also comes in BMW kits Set, key, with FEM control unit (0038892) and Set of keys with CAS control unit (0038954) and 10 more.
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
