Radio remote control Luxury Line — a genuine BMW part, number 66 12 9 312 540. The number stamped on the part is 66129312540; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 9312540. You will find it on our Instruments & Electronics shelf, under Radio-controlled locking system. It supersedes the older number 9312529, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
BMW's catalog records no E36 or E46 it is fitted to; it belongs to other BMW models.
BMW draws it on 3 diagrams, among them Key (41_2450) and Key (41_2453). It weighs about 30 g (under 0.1 lb). It also comes in BMW kits Set, key, with FEM control unit (0041585) and Set, key, with FEM control unit (0041642).
We have not had one on the shelf yet. Request it and we will tell you when one comes off a car.
