Repair kit, aux. damper, protective tube — a genuine BMW part, number 33 50 2 290 317. The number stamped on the part is 33502290317; BMW's catalog files it under the short number 2290317. You will find it on our Suspension shelf, under Self-levelling suspension. It supersedes the older number 1092475, so a part carrying that number is the same part.
It fits the E36 touring (316i, 318i, 318tds, 320i, 323i, 325tds and 328i, 1994–1997), with the M41, M43, M51 or M52 engines. It also fits the E46 sedan and touring (323i and 325i, 1999–2005), with the M52, M54 or M56 engines — and the European-market versions.
